Education / Training: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Job Title: Accountant City: Muncie Key Job Elements: Duties and responsibilities: • Responsible for journal entries on routine basis; • Monitor and adjust balances; • SAP to ERP (LN); • Review customer spending; • Responsible for A/P and A/R entry, P&L and B/S; • Account reconciliations for area; • Responsible for monthly warranty review report; • Prepare and update monthly and annual warranty reports.
Advanced duties and responsibilities: • Provide advanced level reporting upon request; • Coordinate and provide monthly projections for facility; • Coordinate and prepare mid-year and quarterly annual budgets; • May supervise the work of others.
Qualifications and Experience: • 5+ years of experience in an accounting; • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems; • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); • Knowledge and experience in warranty transactions required; • Ability to work independently and with teams ; • Experience working in a manufacturing, accounting environment; • Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail; • Microsoft Office skills required, expert skills with spreadsheets; • Strong organizational and analytical skills required.
• Strength – Position typically involves work in a standard office environment.
Occasional standing and walking.
Heavy lifting is rare but may be required; • Motion – Position regularly requires standard repetitive motions and hand/eye coordination associated with office communications.
May require bending, lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, crouching, walking, etc.
in cases where Safety investigations require them; • Vision/Hearing Requirements – Constant verbal communications, including both talking and hearing; • Work Environment – Position may involve occasional work in a non-temperature-controlled facility.
Position will require occasional visits to industrial environment, including potential for noise (85+ decibels), frequent exposure to cold and temperature changes, exposure to hazardous materials, heavy equipment, high levels of dust, and other hazardous working conditions.
May be required to remain for long periods of time in hazardous work environments to investigate and mitigate accidents/incidents; • Emotional Demands – Responsible for audits and reporting.
Requires interpersonal skills and communication; • Safety – Position required to follow all safety guidelines and requirements.
