*Minimum Requirements:*
*Education: *One of the following:
(1) Bachelor of arts or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education or elementary education with a kindergarten endorsement and grades of C or better.
(Preferred)
(2) Any Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university must include one (1) of the following:
(A) Fifteen (15) credit hours in college level courses with documented content relating to the needs, skills, development, or teaching methods of children six (6) years of age or younger and grades of C or better.
(B) A CDA.
(3) A two (2) year associate‟s degree in early childhood education from an accredited college or university, with a grade of C or better and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in an early childhood program.
(4) All directors who were employed as a director prior to December 1, 1985, are exempt from the specific educational requirements for this position provided that his or her position continues as a director at that child care center.
*Experience:* Professing Christian with appropriate biblical lifestyle preferred.
2 years of leadership experience in a licensed childcare center.

Full Time 40+ hours per week
*Starting Salary:* $40,000 - $50,000 per year

A Childcare Center Director creates policies, manages staff and oversees daily operations.
The director is the lead administrator of the school and handles problems with staff and students.
They develop the curriculum and ensure the school meets any standards set by law.

* Reports to the President with whom he/she communicates regularly
* Supports, serves, and collaborates with other Destiny Christian Academy directors
* Relates well to families in the East Central Indiana communities and seeks to understand the full range of home-life experiences of its youth and children
* Maintains a positive working relationship with the Lead Pastor, additional staff, and volunteers of Destiny Christian Center International Church
*Responsibilities:*
* Ensure a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children.
* Manage and coordinate curriculum with staff that complies with state and federal requirements.
* Ensure that center facilities are safe for children and comply with laws and regulations.
* Evaluate and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies.
* Manage and support teaching staff and promote their professional development.
* Interview, hire, and train new staff members, ensuring they meet all policies and legal requirements.
* Complete ongoing training and courses to remain up to date on daycare standards and procedures.
* Communicate and meet with parents regarding their children and the center’s policies.
* Manage and oversee the budget and accounts and ensure that the center remains profitable.
* Develop and facilitate a marketing and communications plan.

· Knowledge and expertise with computer hardware and software (Mac, Windows, Office, etc.

· Be able to communicate well through different forms of media (oral, written, digital, etc.
