*Minimum Requirements:* *Education: *One of the following: (1) Bachelor of arts or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education or elementary education with a kindergarten endorsement and grades of C or better.
(Preferred) (2) Any Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university must include one (1) of the following: (A) Fifteen (15) credit hours in college level courses with documented content relating to the needs, skills, development, or teaching methods of children six (6) years of age or younger and grades of C or better.
(B) A CDA.
(3) A two (2) year associate‟s degree in early childhood education from an accredited college or university, with a grade of C or better and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in an early childhood program.
(4) All directors who were employed as a director prior to December 1, 1985, are exempt from the specific educational requirements for this position provided that his or her position continues as a director at that child care center.
*Experience:* Professing Christian with appropriate biblical lifestyle preferred.
2 years of leadership experience in a licensed childcare center.
*Status:* Full Time 40+ hours per week *Starting Salary:* $40,000 - $50,000 per year *Benefits:* 2 weeks of vacation per calendar year 5 personal paid days off Holiday Pay Health Benefits: $500 per month toward health coverage as needed (health, dental, eye) Maternity Leave (Family Leave Benefit) Life Insurance: $25,000 (based upon standard health) Retirement: Not at this time *Hours:* M-F 8:00am – 5:00pm, on call as needed.
*General* A Childcare Center Director creates policies, manages staff and oversees daily operations.
The director is the lead administrator of the school and handles problems with staff and students.
They develop the curriculum and ensure the school meets any standards set by law.
*Requirements:* · Comply with local, state, and federal laws governing child care.

· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
· Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
· Friendly and approachable demeanor.
· Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times.
*Relationships:* * Reports to the President with whom he/she communicates regularly * Supports, serves, and collaborates with other Destiny Christian Academy directors * Relates well to families in the East Central Indiana communities and seeks to understand the full range of home-life experiences of its youth and children * Maintains a positive working relationship with the Lead Pastor, additional staff, and volunteers of Destiny Christian Center International Church *Responsibilities:* * Ensure a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children.
* Manage and coordinate curriculum with staff that complies with state and federal requirements.
* Ensure that center facilities are safe for children and comply with laws and regulations.
* Evaluate and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies.
* Manage and support teaching staff and promote their professional development.
* Interview, hire, and train new staff members, ensuring they meet all policies and legal requirements.
* Complete ongoing training and courses to remain up to date on daycare standards and procedures.
* Communicate and meet with parents regarding their children and the center’s policies.
* Manage and oversee the budget and accounts and ensure that the center remains profitable.
* Develop and facilitate a marketing and communications plan.
* Other duties as assigned *Other Qualities* · Knowledge and expertise with computer hardware and software (Mac, Windows, Office, etc.
) · Be able to communicate well through different forms of media (oral, written, digital, etc.
) · Must be positive, creative, self-starting, loyal, fun/enjoyable, and a team player · Does NOT have to be a member of Destiny Christian Center Church Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40,000.
