*Responsibilities*
* *Develop and implement an appropriate infant/toddler program for young children.

*Plan and implement activities to support the physical, emotional, social and cognitive development of infants.

*Weekly, submit a lesson plan with a theme that will encompass music, math, reading, writing, science, arts, etc.

*Guide children as they play and learn simultaneously as supported by the Creative Curriculum*
*Implement appropriate re-directive methods that will reinforce norms expected for each child*
*Provide a loving, healthy, and safe environment for the children while they are in your care*
*Maintain a fun, well organized and clean environment that children are comfortable learning in*
*Conduct two parent/teacher conferences each year to discuss child's portfolio*
*Be sure that children are supervised at ALL TIMES*
*Build each child's self-esteem as you engage in healthy conversations and educational experiences with them*
*Comfort children in an appropriate manner as needed Implement positive discipline as needed*
*Clearly and effectively communicate with children in a manner that they can understand*
*At no time will physical aggression be acceptable and is grounds for immediate dismissal)*
*Observe the children and make regular notes of their progress*
*Identify children showing signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related problems, and discuss them with supervisors, parents or guardians, and child development specialists.
Communicate with Other Staff and Families*
*Maintain a positive work environment by keeping all communication professional and kind*
*Find creative ways to partner with teachers to implement center wide or small group projects*
*Suggest ideas to the Director, Assistant Director, and/or Event Planner to enhance quality care*
*Maintain confidentiality when communicating with families and children within your classroom*
*Make a constant effort to daily discuss positives and areas of development about the children to their parents/guardians*
*Complete required online and/or hand-written daily reports on each child*
