Possible teaching responsibilities could include undergraduate courses in creativity, gifted students, assessment, learning, and motivation as well as graduate courses in giftedness, curriculum development, and research methods.
Specific courses will be determined by the successful candidate’s specialties.
The successful candidate’s research will include aspects of giftedness, creativity, and/or talent development.
This research could incorporate a variety of subfields, such as twice exceptionalities, social emotional learning, motivation, leadership, curriculum/program development or related areas.
The successful candidate will also provide additional support for initiatives at the Center for Gifted Studies and Talent Development.
This position requires an on-campus presence.
Collectively, high quality teaching, an active research agenda, and participation in service activities are required for successful progress in the tenure process.
Minimum Qualifications Completion of a doctoral degree in educational psychology or related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment.
Active research agenda within giftedness, creativity, and/or talent development.
Authorization to work in the US Employer will consider sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications University teaching experience, experience in PK12 educational settings, experience publishing and presenting within the gifted and/or related fields.
Required Certifications/Licensures Pre-Employment Screening Requires successful completion of a background check and education verification.
