Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree by date of appointment.
Minimum Experience Successful playing and/or coaching experience.
Minimum Other Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the university’s auto fleet policy.
Authorization to work in the US Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.

without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Education Preferred Experience At least one year of collegiate coaching experience in the sport of football.
Preferred Other Pre-Employment Screening Requires successful completion of a Drivers License check, Requires successful completion of a background check and education verification.

edu Duties & Responsibilities Ranking 1 Job Duty Perform duties in all areas of the program at the direction of the athletic director or sport supervisor.
Ranking 2 Job Duty Develop, in conjunction with the head coach, planning of practice sessions and competitive coaching situations.
Ranking 3 Job Duty Assess and evaluate talent and recruitment of athletes in to the program; includes, contact by telephone and mail; off campus evaluations; on campus visits.
Ranking 4 Job Duty Develop scouting reports and pre-competition evaluations of opponents.
Ranking 5 Job Duty Make recommendations in regard to fund raising, promotion and marketing, special projects, clinics and camps.
Ranking 6 Job Duty Monitor, in conjunction with the head coach, the academic progress, the conditioning, and the training of the student-athletes.
Ranking 7 Job Duty Show commitment to and responsibility for adherence to all rules and regulations of Ball State University, the Mid-American Conference, and the NCAA; pass the NCAA certification examination on an annual basis.
Ranking 8 Job Duty Perform other related duties as assigned.
